That new duvet/cover/sheet set was a bit of a spend (even from Ikea) but worth it, that was the best night’s sleep since I don’t know when.

LighterLife weighin: 5 pounds since Wednesday. I’ve lost exactly 13 pounds in a week. Noticed disturbing real, tangible difference walking back to the bus stop yesterday compared to last week – lighter, faster, looser clothes. Scary.

Graph is here. From here loss is slower, as my medium term energy store (glycogen) is gone and I’m now running on fat. Expect losing 4-5 pounds per week from now on, until I either reach a weight I’m happy with or ram-raid a kebab shop.

  1. That’s a lot of weight worryingly fast. I’m fairly certain it can’t be healthy.

  5. Wow, well done! Obviously, be careful not to lose too much too quickly but I imagine it will slow down a bit now anyway.

  6. It sounds alot and certainly, on conventional diets it would be worrying but the diet Vodex is doing is specialist supervised and ok’d by a Dr previously, so don’t worry he’s in safe hands.

  7. Ta! It’s largely water loss hence being so rapid (apparently glycogen stores up to 4 times its weight in water, as my body’s forced onto using fat it has nowhere to go but out…)
