Went to ate my packed lunch at the Hard (by the sea edge) and there was another swan there.

This one was after food – kept poking at my lunchbox (ooer) and eyeing up my apple. He’d also nip at my trouser legs, which appears to be a fascinating example of learned behaviour to prompt uneager tourists to feed him </geek>. I twice tore off some apple parts, dangled them in front of him (looked like he was about to bite my arm off) and dropped it – and he’s ignore it totally. Pigeons liked it though.

He’d also nip at my fingers as I tried to close my lunchbox and fix his beady eyes less than two foot from my face; and I now have bits of seaweed on my trouser leg.

  1. Swans are scary creatures!
