Planned Upgrades

In order to keep our systems up to date and add improvements we sometimes need to carry out essential maintenance.

So we don't cause you too much disruption, we do this in the early hours of the morning from 01:55 to 02:30.

When we have essential maintenance planned outside of these times, we will provide an update below and give you the specific times and services affected.

Coronavirus – Update

Our primary focus is to protect our colleagues and customers through social distancing, and we are closely following government guidelines. 

The majority of our branches are operating their normal opening hours during weekdays. We have also opened a selection of our busiest branches on Saturdays.

We constantly review the latest government guidelines and may change our opening hours at short notice, so please use our branch locator to view the latest information for your local branch. ​

Please don’t visit your branch unless you really need to. Most of your day to day banking can be done from the safety of your home, using our online services or in our mobile app. You can find out about our other ways to bank here.

If you really need to visit a branch, we expect you to practise social distancing and to wear a face covering unless exempt to help stay safe and well in line with government guidance. ​ We may manage entry to our branches to help customers and colleagues maintain a safe distance of 2m. 

In line with UK Government guidance we made the difficult decision to pause our mobile fleet service. Some mobile fleet services are resuming where it is safe for us to operate. Please check our website for full details.

Customers can continue to access their banking services through our other channels including online, mobile, ATMs, Video Banker, telephone banking and Post Office.​   If you wish to pay in cheques and have a pre printed paying in slip then you can post the cheques together with the completed credit to:

Fraud Warning - Please read!

Customers are reporting money being stolen from their accounts after they’ve responded to fake emails from parcel delivery companies, like DPD.

Criminals are sending messages, pretending to be from parcel delivery companies like DPD or Royal Mail.  The aim is to get you to click the link and give away your phone number and bank details.  You will then receive a call from the criminals, pretending to be from your bank’s fraud team, trying to persuade you to move your money to a ‘safe account’ or give away your card reader codes.
